Smirnoff Igloo
Brief
The Smirnoff Area 21 Igloo and support framework was to be used as a marketing tool in Australia at events such as Bathurst and New Years concerts, providing a powerful focal point for the brand at these and other social hot spots. It needed to be able to be easily transported, rapidly assembled and disassembled and packed with relative ease.
Outcome
Procreate interacted with professionals from a variety of design disciplines, to ensure realise the 'igloo' concept into a workable design. It was subject to rigorous assessment to ensure compliance with local building codes. Procreate also provided 3D CAD models to engineers at High Modulus for the necessary 'finite element analysis' to ensure the fibreglass components could withstand the prescribed wind loadings. The same 3D CAD models were used to model and manufacture the fibreglass plugs to secure igloo panels.
